Aileen Francis Mason, 97, of Greenville, passed away Saturday evening, October 4, 2008 at Heartland of Greenville after a short illness. She was born in Pulaski County, Kentucky, daughter of the late Maude (Condiff) and Frank Campbell. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Norman R. Mason in 1976; sisters, Edna Lenker, Daisy Subler, Pat Zechar, Betty Jo Brown; and brothers, Neal, Jake,Sam and Gene Campbell. Aileen moved to Darke County when she was six years old. She attended Allen Township/Rossburg schools. She had worked for the Darke County Children's Home and Corning Glass. She was a member of the EUM Church in Greenville and had been a resident of Oakley House for the past four years. She enjoyed walking, playing bingo and socializing with friends. She is survived by her son, Duane and wife Anne of Dennis, Massachusetts; her grandson Paul of Chicago, IL; Her sisters, Ellie Bowman and Gertrude Leis; a brother, Richard Campbell; Her niece and caregiver, Jana O'Brien; and many nieces and nephews. Services will be held Tuesday, October 7, at 11 a.m. at the Oliver-Floyd Funeral Home in Greenville with Mrs. Sylvia McKibben officiating. Burial will follow in the Greenville Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday from 10 a.m. till time of services. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial contributions be given to the EUM Church, 111, Devor St., Greenville, OH, 45331.
