Ann M. Kendall, 78, of Greenville, passed away early Friday morning, March 7 at her residence. She was born in Montgomery County, daughter of the late Glenn Dale and Sarah Elizabeth (Thompson) Netzley. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two brothers, Wayne and Jerald Netzley and a sister, Marilee Oswalt-Heft. A 1948 graduate of Greenville High School, Ann was retired from Sprint where she had worked as a toll operator. She was a member of the Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church in Greenville and the Greenville Moose and Eagles Lodges. She is survived by her daughters, Teresa A. Kendall-Long of Arcanum and Carla J. Kendall-Hill of West Milton; grandchildren, Carey (Todd) Leffew, Holly (Craig) Cotner, Amber Hill, Elizabeth Long and Michael Long; great grandchildren, Max Cotner, Kendall Leffew and Jack Cotner; brothers and sisters, W. Lynn Netzley, Earlene Morris , Betty (Wayne) Sharp, Pharol (William) Dodt, and Sandra (Jerry) Linder all of Greenville; longtime companion, Robert Dildine; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Services will be held Wednesday, March 12 at 12 p.m. at the Oliver-Floyd Funeral Home in Greenville with the Rev. Ronald Shreffler officiating. Burial will follow in the Greenville Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday from 10 a.m. till 12 p.m. The family requests that memorial contributions be given to State of the Heart Home Health and Hospice.
