Beatrice E. Burke

Beatrice E. Burke, 91, of Rossburg, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 29, 2023, at Versailles Health and Rehab in Versailles, Ohio.

She was born on February 27, 1932, in Dayton, Ohio, to the late Charles and Ethel (Rentz) Hessler.

In addition to her parents, Beatrice was preceded in death by her husband, Byron Bobby "Bob" Burke, whom she married on August 5, 1950 and who passed away on July 1, 2008; her son, Robert Burke; and her brother, William Hessler.

Beatrice is survived by her children, William (Cathy) Burke of Richmond, Kentucky, and Susan (Robert Christiansen) Burke of Three Rivers, Michigan; her grandchildren, Nicholas (Darnetta) Shaver of Lexington, Kentucky, Karen (Brian Uhr) Christiansen of Horton, Michigan, Jared and Lance Burke of Richmond, Kentucky, and Katie (Dylan) Bratschi of Battle Creek, Michigan; and her great grandchildren, Shane and Skylar Shaver of Lexington, Kentucky.

Beatrice was a 1950 graduate of Covington High School. She was a member of the Rossburg United Methodist Church and was an avid animal lover.

A celebration of Beatrice's life will take place at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, December 5, 2023, at Tribute Funeral Homes, Greenville Campus. Burial will follow at 1:00 PM at Dayton Memorial Park, Dayton Ohio.

Guests may visit with her family on Tuesday from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be given to the Alzheimer's Association or Darke County Humane Society.
