Betty A. (Hileman) Ketring, 82, of Arcanum, passed away on March 22, 2009 at the Reid Hospital in Richmond after an extended illness. Betty was born July 31, 1926 in New Madison daughter of the late Charles and Lucille (Cox) Hileman
Betty is retired from the Crosely Company in Richmond and also the Derby Company in Greenville. She was a member of the Leroy Farst Ladies Aux. 245 and the Potsdam United Methodist Church. Betty enjoyed crafts of all kind, playing bingo and most of all spending time with family.
Betty is survived by a son, Harold “Butch” Hileman and wife Phyllis of Arcanum; a ½ daughter, Carolyn Schriver of Florida; two grand daughters, Christy and husband Pete Garich and Cindy and husband Jeff Miller; four grat grandchildren, five step grandchildren, one step great grandchild; a brother Ralph Hileman of Greenville; sister, Marguerite Glunt of Greenville; a sister-in-law Mary Hileman of Kansas; many nieces and nephews, and numerous friends.
In addition to her parents, Betty is preceded in death by her husband Byron; brothers, Burldean, Charles W. and Robert Hileman and sister Jenny Winn.
Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. at the Storch Braund Funeral Home on Saturday, March 28, 2009 with Rev. John Wiltshire being asked to officiate. Friends may call on the family from 5:00 - 8:00 PM, on Friday, March 27, 2009 at Storch Braund Funeral Home. Burial with follow in the Greenmound Cemetery
Family ask that memorial contributions be made to the Reid Hospital Hospice or the New Madison American Legion Auxiliary, donations being received at the funeral home. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.storchbraundfuneralhome.com. .
