Bob Burke

Bob Burke, 77, of Rossburg, OH, passed away Tuesday morning, July 1, 2008 at the Celina Manor in Celina. He was born in Darke County, son of the late Rev. Byron B. and Bertha G. (Boze) Burke. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a son, Robert Burke in 1997. Bob was retired from Fram/Allied Signal in Greenville. He was a member of the Rossburg United Methodist Church. He is survived by his wife of nearly 58 years, Beatrice E. (Hessler) Burke, whom he married August 5, 1950; a daughter, Susan Burke of Three Rivers, MI; a son, William A. Burke of Lexington, KY; grandchildren, Nick Shaver, Karen Christiansen, Katie Christiansen, Jared Burke and Lance Burke; a brother, Richard Burke of Ansonia; and a sister, Lois Judy of Arcanum. Services will be held at the Oliver-Floyd Funeral Home in Greenville, Saturday, July 5 at 10 a.m. with the Rev. John Monroe officiating. Burial will follow in the Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery in Dayton. The family will receive friends Friday from 4-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
