Carlton S. Journey, 88, of Ansonia, passed away Wednesday afternoon, January 14, 2015, at Heartland of Greenville.
He was born December 13, 1926 in Bucks Corner, OH, son of the late Charles and Orpha (Potter) Journey. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby Journey; 2 step sons, Larry and George Harless; a step grandson, Jason; and a brother, Robert Journey.
Carlton was a veteran of the US Army having served during WWII. He was a retired farmer and enjoyed dealing in antiques. He was a member of the American Legion and VFW.
He is survived by a sister, Evelyn Brosher of Ansonia; step grandchildren, Heather, Larry, Gwen, and Jennifer; several step great grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
Services with full military honors by the Greenville Veterans Honor Guard will be held at 2 p.m., Monday, January 19, at the Oliver-Floyd Funeral Home in Greenville with his nephew, Rick Brosher officiating. Burial will follow in the Greenville Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 12 p.m. till 2 p.m.
