Carolyn K. Garland

Carolyn K. Garland, 76, of Greenville, Ohio, passed away on Tuesday, January 30, 2024, at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton, Ohio.

She was born on October 19, 1947, in Greenville, Ohio, to the late Lawrence and Mildred (Buckingham) Slade.

Carolyn is survived by her husband of 59 years, Lawrence Ray Garland, whom she married in October of 1964; her children, Richard Garland, James Garland, Shawn Garland, and Gary (Jenni) Garland, all of Greenville; her grandchildren, Christopher Garland, Leslie Garland, Steven (Rita) Garland, Korey (Lauren) Garland, Dylan Garland, Sarah Garland, Nicole Garland, Olivia (Dane) Young, Ethan Garland, Daniel Lambert, Josh Lambert, Josalyn Grube, and Kayla Garland; her 17 great grandchildren; her siblings, Fred (Phyllis) Slade and Rick Slade, all of Greenville; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Carolyn was preceded in death by her siblings, Roger Slade and Jerry (Linda) Slade.

Carolyn belonged to the Greenville Moose and Eagles. In her free time, she enjoyed watching tv and playing cards, especially solitaire. More than anything, she loved spending time with her family and babysitting her grandchildren.

A graveside service for Carolyn will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, February 5, 2024, at Greenville Union Cemetery.

Per the family wish, memorial contributions may be given to the funeral home to help offset final expenses.
