Charles Edwards "Chuck" Curtin, 78, of Greenville, passed away on Monday, July 7, 2014 at his residence.
He was born March 30, 1936, in Detroit, Michigan, the son of the late James and Dorothy (Edwards) Curtin. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by an infant son, Christopher Michael Curtin, a brother and a sister.
Chuck was a small business owner for 35 years. He was a graduate of Niagara University, and had served as a First Lieutenant in Korea from 1958 to 1960. He loved sports and a good cigar.
He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Jeanne (Terpolilli) Curtin, whom he married January 5, 1963; three daughters, Lisa (Todd) Campbell, Michelle (Robb) Sutton, and Jeanne (John) Marchal; 6 grandchildren, Melissa and Stephanie Campbell, Brandon and Brock Sutton, and Emily and Jack Marchal; a sister, Mary (Thomas) Klotz; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, July 12, at the St. Mary's Catholic Church in Greenville with the Rev. Fr. John White Celebrating. Private burial with full military honors will take place at a later date in the St. Mary's Church Cemetery.
There will be no public visitation. The family requests that memorial contributions be given to State of the Heart Hospice, 1350 N. Broadway St., Greenville, OH 45331.
Services have been entrusted with the Oliver-Floyd Funeral Home in Greenville.
