Charles R. Walters

Charles R. Walters, 88, of Ansonia, Ohio, passed away Thursday evening, September 11, 2014 at Reid Hospital in Richmond, Indiana.

He was born October 26, 1925 in Darke County, Ohio, a son of the late Ralph and Norma (Thomas) Walters. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Gloria M. (Mills) Walters who passed away February 3, 2004.

Charles was a farmer and enjoyed tending to his flower and vegetable gardens. He was a veteran of WWII and served in the Army Air Corp.

He is survived by two daughters, Stephenie Walters of Cincinnati, Ohio and Rebecca Montag of Fairfield, Ohio; grandson, Jeremy J. Montag of Denver, Colorado; and two sisters, Shirley Marker of Greenville, Ohio and Lois Hardy of Columbus, Ohio.

Memorial services will be held at 2PM Wednesday, September 17, 2014 at the Oliver-Floyd Funeral Home in Greenville, Ohio. Burial will take place at the convenience of the family.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday from 1 to 2 PM.
