Christopher R. Armstrong

Christopher R. "Gus - Santa Clause" Armstrong, 52, of Greenville, passed away Sunday afternoon, April 5, 2009 at his residence. He was born in Greenville, son of the late Robert Keith "Casey" and Marjorie (Winchell) Armstrong. Chris had driven truck for the former American Aggregates, Laidlaw and most recently for HD Supply (Hughes) in Greenville. He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Sondra (Morrow) Armstrong whom he married August 13, 1977; his children, Laura Armstrong of Ansonia and Kyle Armstrong of Ansonia; grandchildren, Malachi Jones, Kaycie Jones, Josiah Jones and Nadia Jones; and his "adoptive parents", Richard and Charlotte Fletcher of Greenville. Graveside services will be held Monday, April 13 at 11 a.m. at the Greenville Township Memorial Gardens with Chaplain Todd Reish officiating. The family will receive friends at the Oliver-Floyd Funeral Home in Greenville on Thursday, April 9 from 6-8 p.m. The family requests that memorial contributions be given to the Ansonia Fire Department.
