Clarence J. "Red" Fowble, 78, of Greenville, passed away Saturday afternoon, December 1 at the Gade Nursing Home in Greenville. He was born in Greenville, son of the late Virgil and Nell (Stephens) Fowble. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Helen J. (Hershey) Fowble on March 31, 2004. A retired carpenter, Red had worked for Stoner Construction in Union City. He was a member of the Coletown Congregational Christian Church, the Greenville Masonic Lodge, the Darke County Shrine Club, the Scottish Rite of Dayton and the Ft. Black Chapter of the Order of Eastern Star in New Madison. He is survived by a sister, Maxine Alexander of Greenville; and several nieces, nephews, great and great great nieces and nephews. The Greenville Masonic Lodge will be conducting a Masonic Memorial Service at 11 a.m. Tuesday with funeral services immediadtely following with the Rev. Elwood Stuart officiating at the Oliver-Floyd Funeral Home in Greenville. Burial will follow in the Greenville Township Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday from 10 a.m. till time of services at 11. The family requests that memorial contributions be given to the Shriner's Hospitals.
