Danial "Joe" Jackson

Danial "Joe" Joseph Jackson, 71, of New Madison, Ohio, passed away early Sunday morning, August 21, 2022, at Wayne Healthcare in Greenville, Ohio.

Joe was born on August 15, 1951, in Greenville, to the late Danial E. and Frances (Summers) Jackson.

In addition to his parents, Joe was preceded in death by his brother, Fred Jackson.

Joe was a 1970 graduate of Arcanum High School. He worked for Sheller Globe for 20 years then for Whirlpool for 20 more. He was community driven and a member of Darke County Lupus Support Group for 10 years and helped with New Madison Cops for Kids Organization. He had a passion for working on cars and going to car shows with his son, Shawn. He enjoyed camping in his old step-van he converted into a camper. He was a family man and absolutely adored his children and grandchildren.

Danial is survived by his wife of 51 years, Patty (Derr) Jackson, whom he married on August 21, 1971; his children, Angel (Shawn) Crumrine of Greenville, Shawn Jackson of Greenville, and Dalton (Sarah) Jackson of New Madison; his grandchildren, Mantoreha Crumrine, Jacota Crumrine, Ross Crumrine, Desirea Crumrine, and Trey Jackson; his step grandchildren, Aubrey and Greyson Auxier; his brother, Mike (Kim) Jackson of Arcanum, Ohio; and his sister, Cindy Skougaard of Kearns, Utah.

A celebration of Danial's life will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, August 24, 2022, at Tribute Funeral Homes, New Madison Campus, with Pastor Tony Price officiating. Burial will follow in Greenmound Cemetery in New Madison.

His family will be receiving guests on Wednesday, from 11:00 AM until the time of the service at 1:00 PM at the funeral home.
