Daryl Lee Stump

Daryl Lee Stump, Sr., age 87, of Greenville, Ohio, passed away on Monday, December 23, 2024, at EverHeart Hospice Care Center in Greenville. He was born in Dayton, Ohio on March 25, 1937. 

Daryl spent 30 years working as a police officer for Clay Township Police Department, Phillipsburg Police Department, Preble County Sheriff's Office, and the New Madison Police Department, where he served as Chief of Police for many years. In his early years, Daryl worked for his family's business, Stump Grocery Stores in Dayton. In his free time, he enjoyed going to the shooting range, playing with his beloved dogs, and attended Triumphant Christian Center in Greenville. 

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, December 30, 2024, at Arlington Cemetery in Brookville. 

A celebration of Daryl's life will be held at 1:30 on Sunday, January 5, 2025, at Triumphant Christian Center in Greenville, with Pastor Sam Shilot officiating.
