David L. Oliver

David L. Oliver, 61, of Greenville, passed away unexpectedly early Sunday morning, November 20, 2011 at his residence. Dave was born in Greenville on December 13, 1949. He was preceded in death by his brother, Michael and a sister, Sharon. He worked at F & P America in Troy. He had driven trucks for Dick Lavy Trucking and various others for several years. He was a veteran of the US Army having served in Vietnam. He was a member of the American Legion, VFW, Eagles, and Moose all of Greenville. He is survived by his wife, Deborah (Bebout)Oliver; sons, Chad (Erin) Oliver of Canton, OH, and Heath (Hillary) Oliver of Mooresville, NC; step children, Joshua (Emily) Bricker of Delaware, OH, and Jennifer Bricker of Marietta, GA; and grandchildren, Sam, Ben, Kate, Madison, and Abigail. Services with full military honors by the Greenville Veterans Honor Guard will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, November 26 at the Oliver-Floyd Funeral Home in Greenville. Burial will follow in the Greenville Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday, November 25 from 5-8 p.m., and Saturday, from 10 a.m. till 11 a.m. The family requests that memorial contributions be given to the Greenville Veterans Honor Guard.
