Deloris Evans

Deloris Evans, 77, of Greenville, passed away Saturday morning, December 4, 2010 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Dayton. She was born May 8, 1933 in the Portland, IN, daughter of the late Oliver and Ruby (Hines) Boolman. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, James B. Evans on July 15, 1997; two sons, Randy J. and Gerry A. Evans; three brothers, Lawrence, Lloyd and her twin brother, Delane Boolman; and a sister, Loretta June Goodman. Deloris is survived by her children, Debbie (Gary) Robbins of Greensburg, IN, Rickey J. (Betty) Evans of Temecula, CA, Jerry A. Evans of Dayton, and Donna K. Evans of Greenville; grandchildren, Gerry A. (Ashley) Evans, Aidan J. Evans, Alanna G. Evans, Elisha Robbins, Gina Robbins-Zinn, and Amber Lee; several great grandchildren; sisters, Lorene (Homer) Butcher of Portland, IN, Jeanette Newton of Ridgeville, IN, Genevieve Newton of Portland, IN; and a brother, Nolan (Teresa) Boolman of Ridgeville, IN. A memorial service will be held Thursday, December 9, at 2 p.m. at the Chapel of the Brethren Retirement Community in Greenville with Chaplain Bob Bitner officiaitng. A private family burial will take place in the Union City Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Chapel of the Brethren Retirement Community one hour prior to services on Thursday. The family requests that memorial contributions be given to help defray funeral expenses. Oliver-Floyd Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
