Dennis Thomas "Tom" Davee, 66, of Fort Recovery, passed away on March 4, 2018 at State of the Heart Care Center In Greenville, Ohio
Born April 29 1951, in Albuquerque New Mexico to Roy and Christine Davee, he was the second of 10 children. Early on in life he chose to be called by his middle name, Thomas, feeling that it fit his personality more so than his first name.
Thomas attended junior high and high school in Albuquerque, NM before joining the U.S.Army in 1968. He was sent to Germany following his initial "boot camp" training as an infantry soldier and mechanized track vehicle driver. Thomas did very well in the Army and quickly advanced to the rank of Specialist 4 (E-4) spending fifteen months in Europe assigned to an Army detachment in northern Germany. From there he transferred to Ft Lewis, Washington where he acquired skills later applied in civilian life.
After almost three years in the U.S. Army, Thomas was honorably discharged and returned to Albuquerque where he attended several trade schools which prepared him for his job as a welder working in the uranium mines of Grants, New Mexico.
Thomas was predeceased by his parents, Roy and Christine, his brother Tracy, and his nephew Brian. He is survived by his life partner Adriana, his sons Roy and Jason, daughters Michelle and Belinda, grandchildren, and his siblings Steve, John, Karen, Alan, Susan, Lois, Mark and Clyde.
A Celebration of Life graveside services will be held on Thursday, March 8, 2018 at 11:30 AM at the Dayton National Cemetery, 4400 W Third St, Dayton, OH 45428, with full military services being conducted.
Memorial contributions may be made to State of the Heart Care, 1350 N. Broadway, Greenville, Ohio 45331.
