Destiny M. Longenecker

Destiny M. Longenecker, 18, of Greenville, Ohio, died Saturday, May 2, 2009, from a train-pedestrian accident in Union City, OH. She was the daughter of, David L. (Sandy Thaxton) Abels of Mendon, OH, mother, Roxanne M. (Scott Yoder) Longenecker of Greenville, step-parents, Bill Fields (Suzie Carrington) of Greenville. She was a senior at Greenville High School. She is also survived by her grandparents, Mary Abels of Lima, OH, Tom Longenecker of Greenville, and Nancy Apple of Dayton; brothers & sister, Anthony Abels of Mendon, OH, Dave Abels of Ft. Recovery, Sarah Burwinkel of Columbus, OH), Scotty Yoder of Ansonia; step-brothers & sister, Jason & Mandy Swisher of Rossburg, OH, Chris & Mike Carrington, both of Greenville; special nephew, William Swisher; boyfriend, Cody Griffin of Union City, OH; and many other family, friends and loved ones. Friends may call at the Triumphant Christian Center, 1129 S. Town Ct., Greenville, OH, Saturday, May 9 beginning at 10:00 a.m., with a memorial service following with Pastor Jason Black officiating. The family requests memorial contributions be given to the Destiny Longenecker Memorial Fund at Mercer Savings Bank. Interment will take place at Greenville Township Memorial Gardens at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Oliver-Floyd Funeral Home, Greenville.
