Donald Gene Back

Donald Gene Back, age 74 of New Madison, passed away Thursday, January 16, 2025 at his home surrounded by his family. 

He was born on May 28, 1950 in Indiana to the late James and Mary (Tompkins) Back. 

In addition to his parents, Donald is preceded in death by his brother, Larry Back.

Those left to cherish Donald's memory include his loving wife, Barbara Back of New Madison; son, Christopher Back of Georgia; daughter, Angela Brinley (Byron) of Middleton, Ohio; grandchildren, Taylor Rufus (Gregory), Levi Back, Brandon Brinley, and Aaron Brinley; and great grandchildren, Judah Rufus, Havalea Rufus, and Leo Rufus.

Donald retired from Dana Corporation in Richmond, IN. He belonged to the Greenville Moose Lodge for many years and also the Rolling 50's Classic Car Club. In his free time, Donald enjoyed bowling, fishing, and construction work. He also found great joy in watching western and classic movies. 

A graveside service will be held at 1:30 PM on Saturday, January 25, 2025 at Greenmound Cemetery in New Madison. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the funeral home to help offset Donald's funeral expenses.
