Donald E. Swank

Donald E. Swank 89, of Greenville, Ohio passed away Monday, October 20, 2014 at Miami Valley Hospital Dayton, Ohio.

He was born May 24, 1925 in Ft. Jefferson, Ohio, son of the late Ira and Pauline (Foureman) Swank. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Wayne Swank.

Don was a farmer, a lifelong poultry raiser and worked at Union City Body Co. for 25 years. He was a member of Community United Methodist Church.

He is survived by his wife Wanda J. (Cool) Swank of 68 years, whom he married in 1946; children, Steven Swank, of Greenville, Niles (Becky) Swank of Greenville, Bruce (Julie) Swank of Troy, Stephanie Sherry of Greenville; 7 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; and a brother, C. William (Helen) Swank of Columbus, OH.

Services will be held Saturday, October 25 at 10:00 AM at the Oliver-Floyd Funeral Home in Greenville with Todd Reish officiating. Burial will follow in the Mote Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday, from 5 PM till 7 PM. The family request that memorial donations be given to Community United Methodist Church or Center of Neurological Development PO Box 117, Burkettsville, Ohio 45310
