Donald D. Moody

Donald D. Moody, 70, of Ansonia, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 3, 2024, at Reid Health in Richmond, Indiana.

He was born on February 3, 1954, in Greenville, Ohio, to the late Harry and June (Matthieu) Moody.

In addition to his parents, Don was preceded in death by his niece, Emily Moody, and his nephew, Logan Starline.

Don is survived by his children, Andrew Howdieshell of Fort Wayne, Indiana, Danielle (Seth) Sheppard of Ansonia, Dylan (Taryn) Moody of Greenville, and Logan (Kayla) Moody of Rossburg; his grandchildren, Tobias Howdieshell, Makenna, Charlie, Piper, and Keaton Sheppard, and Kayden Moody; his siblings, Tom (Cindy) Moody of Rossburg, Connie (Dave) Starline of Ansonia, Kathy (Bob) Wagner of Versailles, and Tammy (Todd) Klipstine of Ansonia; his beloved dog, Diva; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Don was a 1974 graduate of Ansonia High School. He worked at FRAM in Greenville for nearly 40 years until he retired in 2016. Don was an equine enthusiast. He enjoyed training horses, buying, selling, and trading horses, and going horseback riding. If he wasn't with the horses, he was probably rooting for one of his favorite sports teams, the Cleveland Browns, Cincinnati Reds, or the Dayton Flyers. Don was a professional "storyteller” and enjoyed going coon hunting. However, Don's family was the most important thing to him, especially his grandchildren.   

A celebration of Don's life will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, March 8, 2024, at Tribute Funeral Homes, Greenville Campus, with Pastor Nick Good officiating. Burial will follow in Greenville Township Memorial Gardens.

Guests may visit with Don's family on Thursday, March 7, 2024, from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM and again on Friday from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM at the funeral home.
