Donald W Wilson

Donald W. Wilson, 93, of Ft. Jefferson, Ohio, passed away on Thursday, July 1, 2021, at Brethren Retirement Community in Greenville, Ohio.

He was born on October 7, 1927, in Darke County, Ohio, to the late Oscar and Mary (Ahlering) Wilson.

In addition to his parents, Don was preceded in death by his wife, Roberta J. (Shanneyfelt) Wilson in 2008, whom he married on June 26, 1949; and brother, Paul Wilson.

Don was a tree trimmer by trade and worked for Fitzwater and Nelson Tree Services. He enjoyed gardening, attending auctions and feeding the neighborhood cats.

Don is survived by his children, Gailen (Dianna) Wilson,of Greenville, Ohio, and Pamela Boolman of Huston, Texas; grandchildren, Kyley (Jay) Pearson and Korey (Kelly) Wilson; great grandson, Connor Pearson; sister-in-law, Lois Wilson of Greenville; as well as his companion Agnes Preston.

A celebration of Don's life will be held at 11 AM on Wednesday, July 7, 2021, at Tribute Funeral Homes, Greenville Campus, with Pastor Doug Baker officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery in Fort Jefferson.

Don's family will be receiving guests on Wednesday, from 10 AM until the time of the service at the funeral home.
