Edgar L. Turner, 82, of Greenville, passed away early Saturday morning, December 15, 2012 at Heartland of Greenville.

He was born January 6, 1930 in Paint Lick, KY, son of the late Millard H. and Martha Mae (Durham) Turner. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Sarah Turner.

Edgar had worked for Dayton Walther having retired after 30 years. He was a veteran of the US Army and a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Greenville.

He is survived by his wife, Joyce (Lane) Turner; children, Gaylen (Debbie) Turner of Bellbrook, OH, Debbie (Mark) Cox of Huber Heights, and Keith H. Turner of Ogden, Utah; grandchildren, Emily (Chris) Stitzlein, Josh Turner, Whitney Brian) Huff, Nicole (Justin) McCarroll, Miranda (Angelo) Vescio, Jacob Turner, Jordan Turner, and Kelsey Turner; a brother, Noland (Linda) Turner of Ft. Wortth, TX; sisters, Mable (Paul) Schanding of Madison, IN, and Mary Lou (Jerry) Crisci of Chicago, IL.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, December 22, at the First Assembly of God Church in Greenville, with Pastor Dale Boeger officiating.

The family will receive friends at the church 1 hour prior to services on Saturday.

Arrangements have been entrusted with the Oliver-Floyd Funeral Home in Greenville.
