Eldon Lacey

Eldon Eugene Lacey, 83, of Greenville, Ohio, passed away on Monday, August 28, 2023, at EverHeart Hospice Care Center in Greenville.

He was born on May 26, 1940, in Arcanum, Ohio, to the late Archie and Hester (Bunger) Lacey.

In addition to his parents, Eldon was preceded in death by his great granddaughter, Paislee Lacey; his sister, Helen Gray; and his brothers, Ralph and Carl Lacey.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Melva K. (Hayes) Lacey, whom he married on January 20, 1962; his children, Carolyn (Scott) Warren of Greenville, Cyndi (Nick) Ruebel of South Lebanon, Ohio, and Craig (Wanda) Lacey of Greenville; his grandchildren, Nate and Nic Warren, Nic, Mason, Brayden, and Payton Ruebel, and Bryce and Austin Lacey; and his great grandchildren, Ava, Karley, Remington, Ryker, Emily Lennox and Hudson. Eldon is also survived by several other extended family members and friends.

Eldon and Melva loved to travel. They have been to every state except for Alaska, as well as all around the world. He enjoyed riding motorcycles and taking his family boating. He retired from Corning Glass after 44 years of service. The most important thing to Eldon was his family. He loved supporting his grandchildren and attending all their sporting events.

A celebration of Eldon's life will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, September 2, 2023, at Tribute Funeral Homes, Greenville Campus, with Pastor Tony Price officiating. Burial will follow in Greenville Township Memorial Gardens.

His family will be receiving guests on Friday, September 1, 2023, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the funeral Home.
