Ernest T. Leis

Ernest T. Leis, 95 of Ansonia, passed away Friday morning, April 9, 2010 at Heartland Nursing Home in Greenville. He was born in York Township in Darke County, son of the late Lewis F. Leis and LaVonna (Landis) Leis. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a sisters, Ruth Campbell, Mary Sherry; and brothers, Edwin and Ralph Leis. Ernie was a farmer for several years and was a member of the Ansonia First Church of God. He was a graduate of Ansonia High School class of 1932 He is survived by his wife, of 73 years Anna Gertrude (Campbell) Leis whom he married on May 27, 1936; children, James A. (Janet) Leis of Rossburg, Janet A. (Darrel) Rowland of Ansonia; granchildren Aliana (Bryan) Clymer of Greenville,Cindy (Steve) Shoop of Zambia, Africa, Scott (Andrea) Rowland of Ansonia; great grandchildren Holly Clymer, Brianne Clymer, Justin Rowland, Cody Rowland, Alexa Rowland, Andrew Rowland; a brother John L. (Connie) Leis of Ansonia Private services will be held at the Oliver-Floyd Funeral Home in Greenville. Burial will follow in the Greenville Township Memorial Gardens.
