Florence M. Teegarden

Florence Marie Teegarden, 95, of Greenville, Ohio died Tuesday, September 30, 2014 at the Brethren Retirement Community in Greenville, Ohio.

She was born August 14, 1919 in Darke County, Ohio, daughter of the late Benjamin H. and Edna (Study) Pickett. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Leroy Teegarden; brothers, Forrest, Harold A., Robert, and Paul E. Pickett.

Florence was a homemaker, a member of Bible Fellowship Church in Greenville, and past matron of The Order Eastern Star in Union City, Indiana.

She is survived by her step children, Betty Anna Ellis, Marvin Teegarden, Doris Jane Fike; sisters, Irene Greenstein. Olive Alspaugh, Mary Newnam; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Services will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, October 4, 2014 at the Chapel of the Brethren Retirement Community with Chaplain Todd Reish officiating. Burial will follow in the Union City Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 9 a.m. till the time of services Saturday at the Chapel of the Brethren Retirement Community. The family request in lieu of flowers donations be given to Brethren Retirement Resident Aid Fund.
