Frances "Fran" Boyd, 73, of Troy, Ohio, passed away on Thursday, March 11, 2021. Born Frances Bridget Murphy on January 21, 1948 in Queens, New York, to the late Frank and Ethel (Cunningham) Murphy.

In addition to her parents, Fran was preceded in death by her beloved husband Robert W. Boyd Jr.

Fran was the oldest of four siblings. Fran would tell stories of her childhood and adolescent years in much detail; from racing to the icy pond after school to skate, to describing her experiences working on Wall Street. Eventually she married her husband Robert in 1969. Together they had three children. Fran loved her children dearly; she prided herself on being a great mother. She worked as a unit Clerk at Wayne Healthcare in Greenville, Ohio, for 18 of years. Fran was a selfless, compassionate woman who loved deeply. She always put others before herself and remained a beacon of humility, strength, and generosity for those surrounding her up until her final moments. She will be missed dearly but lives on within the memories of those who were fortunate enough to have known her.

Fran is survived by her children, Robert W. Boyd, III, Paul Boyd and his wife Tracy, Bridget Haney and her husband Mike; her grandchildren, Derek Abner and his wife Xaviea, Shawn Boyd, Patrick Boyd, Ryan Haney, Morgan Haney, Caitland Boyd, Ashland Boyd, and Ryan Boyd; her great grandchildren, Carter and Aurora; Fran is survived by her three siblings, Paul Murphy and his wife Lori, Ellin Zeffer and her husband Allan, Jane Masucci and her deceased husband, Mike, her sisters-in-law, Gloria Bohn and her husband, Steve, and Deb Warner and her husband, Dwight. Fran is also survived by her father-in-law, Robert Boyd, Sr., her nieces and nephews, Christi Bohn, Stephanie McConachie and her husband Mark, David Bohn and his wife Traci, Sarah Belle and her husband, Eric, Chad Warner and his wife Michelle, Alicia Rhymer and her husband Brock, and April Coover and her husband Travis, Eileen Keller and her husband, Tim, Kate Raliegh and her husband, Kevin, Elizabeth Walsh and her husband, John, Michael Masucci, Frank Masucci, Alison Masucci, Brian Zeffer, and Johnny Zeffer; and 25 great nieces and nephews.

A private funeral service will be held at the convenience of Fran's family. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery in Fort Jefferson.
