Gary D. Mcferran

Gary D. McFerran, 63, of Greenville, Ohio, passed away on Monday, January 16, 2023, at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton, Ohio.

He was born in Mandan, North Dakota, on April 5, 1959, to the late David and Harriet (Zachmeier) McFerran.

In addition to his parents, Gary was preceded in death by his son, Wesley Lipp; and his in-laws, Jake and Betty Compton.

Gary is survived by his wife, Angela (Penkal) McFerran of Greenville, Ohio; his children, Kerry (Brittany) Noble, Jordan McFerran, Josh Noble, Hannah (Kyle) Harrison, and Nicole Noble all of Greenville; his grandchildren, Easton, Landon, Maylynn, Jacob, Kael, Mallie, Evan, Zachary, Layla, Lanie, Emma, Marlee, Mac and Killian; his sister, Marlys Baker of Mandan, North Dakota; as well as numerous family members, friends and countless pets over the years.

Gary was born and raised in North Dakota. He grew up on the shores of the Missouri River, fishing and hunting. Through the years, Gary devoted his life to helping and teaching others to excel in life. He was a public servant working the fire department, EMS, youth corrections, and as a group home leader for the developmentally disabled. Gary was huge North Dakota State University football fan, "Go Bison!". He spent his time riding his Harley, drag racing, and teaching his kids and grandchildren about the outdoors. He will be remembered by those who knew him as a big hearted teddy bear who didn't know a stranger.

A celebration of Gary's life will take place at 12:00 PM on January 21, 2023, at Tribute Funeral Homes, Greenville Campus. Burial will follow in Greenville Union Cemetery.

Guests may visit with Gary's family on Saturday from 11:00 AM until the time of the service.

Memorial contributions may be given in Gary's memory to Tribute Funeral Homes to help offset the cost of the arrangements.
