George A. Downing

George Downing was born in Richmond, Indiana to Robert and Martha (Parks0 Downing on April 29, 1951. Geaorge was: a husband and father of two adult children, six grandchildren, a brother to two sisters, one still living and two brothers. George served in the United States Navy for four years. After the Navy, George continued to serve in law enforcement before becoming a proffesional Insurance executive for over twenty five years. George was an advocate in fighting the ongoing drug problem in this country as an active citizen in his community when he was not fishing, hunting or maintaining his favorite hobby of owning a herford cattle farm. George was always humerous; even in the most trying of times. Most people that knew George could count on something funny-if even a brief encounter. This was a sudden and not to mention, early loss of a husband of thirty-eight years, father of thirty-seven, brother of fifty-eight and a loss of a friend to many. Remembered by all who knew him - never forgotten by those who loved him
