Gerald L. Ary

Gerald L. Ary, 84, of Greenville and formerly of Rossburg, passed away Monday afternoon, February 23, 2009 at the Oakley House in Greenville. He was born in Darke County, son of the late William Glen and Francis Pauline (Denniston) Ary. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Betty M. (Brown) Ary on May 30, 2002 and his sister, Alberta Bemis. A veteran of the US Army having served in WWII, Gerald was a retired farmer and school bus driver for the Ansonia Schools. He attended the East Main Street Church of Christ in Greenville. Gerald is survived by two brothers-in-laws, John Brown and Gilbert Bemis; and special friends, Gene and Sharon Billenstein and family, and Rosemary Nisonger. Services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Oliver-Floyd Funeral Home in Greenville with the Rev. Jim Moorehouse officiating. Burial will follow in the Greenville Township Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held Friday from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be given to either the East Main Street Church of Christ or State of the Heart Hospice.
