Geraldine Grace Jobes

Geraldine Overholser-Jobes, 105, of Greenville, went home to be with the Lord on February 2, 2018 at Koester Pavillion in Troy, Ohio.

Geraldine was born on February 8, 1912 in Darke County, Ohio, the daughter of the late Edward and Josie (Shook) Schultz.

In addition to her parents, Geraldine was preceded in death by her first husband, Samuel J. Overholser in 1968; her second husband, Lowell E. Jobes in 2011; her brother, Leonard Schultz Sr.; and her sister, Helen Rank.

Geraldine was a member of E.U.M. Church in Greenville. She was an amazing cook, known for her home made noodles. She enjoyed quilting, reading, gardening and spending time with her family.

Geraldine is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Sally (Thomas) Howe of Troy, Ohio; her granddaughters, Diana (Jimmy) Morlan of Troy, Ohio and Holly (Tavo) Flores of Troy, Ohio; her great grandchildren, Gracie Morlan, Andrew Morlan, Alexander Flores, and Cassandra Flores; her sister, Maxine Edwards of Dallas, Texas (formerly of Greenville); several nieces and nephews; her step-daughter, Caroline Jobes of Greenville; and several step-grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 1 PM on Tuesday, February 6, 2018, at Tribute Funeral Homes in Greenville. Burial will follow in Ansonia Cemetery.

Family and friends may visit on Tuesday, February 6, 2018 from 11 AM to 1 PM at the funeral home.
