Gladys Irene Deaton

Gladys Irene Deaton, 91, of Greenville, OH, passed away, Monday, December 19, 2016 at Heartland of Greenville.

Gladys was born Wednesday, April 22, 1925 in Darke County OH, a daughter of the late Ralph and Lydia (Wade) Bowman.

In addition to her parents, Gladys was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Deaton, whom she was married to for 68 years and a sister, Lucille Bowman.

Gladys was a homemaker. Gladys and Jack enjoyed traveling, fishing and spending time with their family. Gladys was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witness.

Gladys is survived by daughters, Karen and Neil Skiver and Kathy Fisher(Gene Robbins); grandchildren, Kelly (Philip Booker) Thwaits,Teresa and Walt Taylor, Ranee and Niles Richards and Rodney and Abbey Fisher; great grandchildren, Kohl, Krue, Kayge, Keris, Teha, Torie, Grant and Haylee; sisters, Ethel Hogg, Dorothy Townsend, Marlene Bowman and Barbara Pacheco; several nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 12:00 PM on Thursday, December 22, 2016 at the Oliver Floyd Funeral Home in Greenville with Kenneth Green officiating. Burial will be in Greenville Cemetery.

Family and friends may visit 11:00 AM untill 12:00 PM at the Oliver Floyd Funeral Home in Greenville.
