Harold L. Riggs, 76, of Greenville, passed away Saturday, June 21, 2008 at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Dayton. Harold was born and raised in the Greenville area son of the late Henry Bernard and Eliza Agnes Riggs. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served in the Korean Conflict. He had spent most of his life farming and plumbing. He was a member of the American Legion Post 140, VFW Post 7262, the Moose and Eagles Lodges. He is survived by two daughters, Lisa R. (Ronald) Brown of New Madison and Kathy (Rex) Mills, of Lynn, IN; a son, Roger Riggs of Greenville; grandchildren, Brad Bohn, Brock and Katelyn Mills, Sheena, Jeff, and Kyle Brown, Savanna Harris and Nathanial Riggs; 7 great grandchildren; two sisters, Lois Riggs and Alice Hollenbeck both of Greenville; and his faithful companion for over 30 years, Waveline Bromagen of Greenville. Services will be held Thursday, June 26 at 11:30 a.m. at the Oliver-Floyd Funeral Home in Greenville. Burial with full military honors by the Greenville Veterans Honor Guard will follow in the Greenmound Cemetery, New Madison. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, from 9:30 a.m. till 11:30 a.m. The family requests that memorial contributions be given to the charity of the donor's choice.
