Herman H. Barnett, 78, of Houston, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 1, 2024, at his home.
He was born on June 30, 1945, in Lee County, Virginia, to the late Henry and Jennette (Moore) Barnett.
In addition to his parents, Herman was preceded in death by his son-in-law, Fred Hammer; one sister; and his brothers-in-law, Glenn Parsons and Don Sturgill.
Herman is survived by his wife of 22 years, Renee (Holdeman) Barnett; his children, Amy Hammer of Sidney, Michelle Barnett of Piqua, Tina Barnett of Piqua, and Sean (Brittany) Barnett of Mendon; his stepchildren, Shane Stachler and Stacey (Travis) Teaford, all of Greenville; his 10 grandchildren and 7 step grandchildren; his 4 great grandchildren and 5 step great grandchildren; his 2 step great-great grandchildren; his sister, Joyce Parsons of Lee County, Virginia; and his in-laws, Kim Sturgill of Gettysburg, Kelly (Kelli) Holdeman of Greenville, and Jill (Chris) Caupp of Greenville.
Herman served honorably in the United States Army. He worked for American Trim in Sidney as a welder and then in waste water management. In his free time, Herman loved riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle, working on cars, and overall being outdoors.
