Howard H Holland, 81, of Greenville, Ohio, passed away on April 28, 2020, after a short battle with cancer, while at his winter home in New Port Richey, Florida.
He was born on December 16, 1938, in Muncie, Indiana, to the late Howard H Holland, Sr. and Violet Irene (DeWitt) Holland.
In addition to his parents, Howard was preceded in death by his sisters, Mary Holland, and Patricia Holland; and his beloved dog, Sassie.
Howard is survived by his wife of 57 years, Diane R. Holland of Greenville; his son, Michael Holland and his wife, Marcia, of Cumming, Georgia; his granddaughter, Cameron, of Cumming; his sister, Martha Roberts of Yorktown, Indiana; his nephew, Bill Roberts and family of Yorktown; his nieces, Becky Smith and family of Tampa, Florida, and Amber Minch and family of Liberty Township, Ohio; his sister-in-law, Donna Foley and family of Indianapolis, Indiana; and his lifelong friends, Don P. Kem of Muncie, and Richard "Butch" Orr of Hartford City, Indiana.
Howard was a graduate of Ball State University. He spent many years teaching art in Milan, Indiana, Union City, Indiana, and for Greenville City Schools. Howard also owned and operated Holland Sign Advertising from 1966 until October 2019.
Howard will be laid to rest during a private family service at Greenville Union Cemetery.
