James V. "Jim" White, Sr., of Eldorado, Ohio, passed away on Thursday, March 5, 2020, at his home.
He was born on July 13, 1945, in Morehead, Kentucky, to the late George and Juanita (Day) White.
In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death by his sister, Joyce Storer.
Soon after graduating from high school, Jim decided to beat the draft and enlisted in the United States Marine Corp in 1965. After serving his country, he began his life-long career as a truck driver. Before he retired in 2014, Jim was named "Master Truck Driver" by the Indiana Motor Truck Association. During his years driving for Con-Way Central Express, he successfully navigated over 1 million miles safely. Jim had many hobbies; he loved coloring on Sunday mornings while drinking his coffee. He enjoyed spending time in the garage listening to music or a Cincinnati Reds game and drinking a beer, preferably a Corona. Jim would tell you his greatest accomplishment would be his family. His fondest memories are the times he spent with his grandchildren. Connie is his greatest inspiration, and his family meant the world to him.
Jim is survived by his wife of 41 years, Connie (Paulus) White, whom he married on December 24, 1978; his children, Tim Glander and his wife, Tonya, of New Paris, Ohio, and James V. White Jr. and his wife, Lindsey, of Eldorado; his grandchildren, Tyler, Chelsea, Hunter, Peyton and Cooper; his brothers and sisters, George White and his wife, Irene, of Medway, Ohio, Ronald White and his wife, Carol, of Springfield, Ohio, Pam Swyers and her husband, Roger, of Crystal Lake, Ohio, and Rosa White of New Carlisle, Ohio;
