James W. "Jim"

James W. "Jim" Willeford, 57, of New Weston, passed away Sunday morning, August 3, 2008 at the Lima Memorial Hospital. He was born in Logan County, KY, son of Clinton Willeford of Kentucky and Mrs. Kenneth (Sylvia (Scott) Hobbs of Ansonia. Jim was a 1971 graduate of Ansonia High School. He had spent 29 years driving truck for several livestock haulers. He was a past member of both the Rossburg and Burkettsville Fire Departments and was a member of the Mercer County Emergency Rescue Volunteers. In addition to his parents he is survived by his wife, Linda J. (Wilson) Willeford whom he married, March 3, 1978; daughters, Heather Goines of Union City, IN, Amy Wilson of Union City, OH, Alysha and Ashley Willeford both of New Weston; grandchildren, Jeffery Goines, Drevontae Goines, Daniel Wilson, Nailah Goines and Ashanti Goines; and a sister, Barbara Coning of Springfield, Ark. Services will be held Wednesday, August 6 at 7 p.m. at the Oliver-Floyd Funeral Home in Greenville. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday from 5-7 p.m. The family requests that memorial contributions be given to the National Kidney Foundation.
