Janet L. Nixon

Janet L. Nixon, 78, of Greenville, passed away Saturday morning, July 24, 2010 at her sisters residence in Wayne Lakes. She was born January 9, 1932, near Bradford, daughter of the late Robert E. and Velma (Eley) Nixon. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her step mother, Ethel Nixon and a brother, Jack L. Nixon. Janet had worked for several years for Gene Riegle Stables. She was a former member of the Greenville Eagles Auxiliary. She is survived by her daughters, Barbara (Tom Houdeshell) Nixon-Lyerly of Greenville and Laura (David) Abernathy-Pedigo of Jeffersonville, IN; grandsons, Benjamin Weaver, Christopher Wick, James R. "J.R." Wick and David "Junior" Pedigo, Jr; a sister, Shirley Jones of (Wayne Lakes) Greenville; step brother, Ed (Debra) Clark of Alabama; sister-in-law, Joann Nixon of Greenville; a special nephew, Barry Schott; special friends, Beverly Goubeaux and family; and nieces and nephews. Private graveside services will be held at the Beamsville Cemetery at a later date. There will be no public visitation.
