John Henry Hamlin III

John Henry Hamlin III, 47, of Arcanum, passed away on Sunday, October 15, 2023.

He was born in West Virginia on April 2, 1976, to John and Robin Hamlin.

John is preceded by his grandparents, Eugene Jordan, John Hamlin Sr., and Shirley Jordan; and nephew, Zachary Harrison-Baker.

He enjoyed hunting, demolition derby, drag racing, and working on cars. More than anything, John loved spending time with his grandchildren. John graduated from Arcanum High School in 1995. He worked for many years as a project manager at Pratt Industries.

He is survived by his wife, Angela Hamlin; children, Kelsey Hamlin (Tray Guntle), Isaac Hamlin, Alex Zawacki, Sasha Derringer (Slugger) all of Arcanum; brother, Kevin (Nicole) Hamlin of Troy; sister, Jessica (Ryan) Campbell of Arcanum; grandchildren, Kyson, Zayda, and Austin Guntle of Arcanum; grandmother, Ruth Fry; numerous nieces and nephews; and close friends, Ryan Reynolds, John Reed, Johnny Simpson, Mark Kuhbander, Chad Drew and many more.

A Memorial Service will be held at 5 PM on Friday, October 20, 2023, with Minister James Reynolds officiating. Following the service, a Celebration of John’s life will be held at 7 PM at Farmer Brown, 6363 Hollansburg-Sampson Rd., Arcanum, OH 45304.
