John R. Rhoades

John R. Rhoades, 71, of (Wayne Lakes) Greenville, Ohio passed away Wednesday, September 10, 2014 at his residences.

He was born July 30, 1943 in Dayton, Ohio, the son of the late Ernest and Katherine (Reynolds) Rhoades. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Jane L. (Quire) Rhoades who passed away February 4, 2008; and a brother, Ronald Rhoades.

John was retired from Delco Moraine in Dayton, Ohio. He was a veteran of the US Marine Corps, member of and past Exalted Ruler of Elks of Greenville, VFW Arcanum, AmVets Life 726, American Legion, Eagles and Moose.

He was survived by his son, Johnny and wife Kristen of Rocky River, Ohio; a daughter, Michelle Rhoades of Greenville; grandchildren, Ronnie Jones, Hunter Rhoades, Halle Rhoades; and a sister and brother-in-law, Gayle (Richard) Miller of Spring Valley, Ohio.

Graveside services with full military honors by the Greenville Veterans Honor Guard will be held Tuesday, September 16 at 11:30 AM at Oak Grove Cemetery in Fort Jefferson. Immediately following the burial, there will be a celebration of life at the VFW in Arcanum. The family request that memorial contributions be given to the charity of donor's choice.
