Joseph J. Laux

Joseph J. Laux, 61, of Cincinnati, Ohio, passed away at his home on Friday, August 23, 2024.

He was born on May 26, 1963, in Greenville to the late William and Joan Mae (Miller) Laux.

Joe is survived by many cousins and friends. 

Joe was a 1981 graduate of Tri-Village High School. He continued his education at Ohio Northern University, where he received his masters degree in accounting. Joe recently retired from the Internal Revenue Service in Cincinnati. Although he lived in Cincinnati, Darke County was always "home" to Joe. He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed rooting for the Cincinnati Reds and the Ohio State Buckeyes. Joe was also a active supporter and fan of all things Ohio Northern. He could often be found enjoying a glass of bourbon with his friends. 

A celebration of Joe's life will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, August 31, 2024, at Tribute Funeral Homes, New Madison Campus. Burial will follow in Hollansburg Cemetery. 

Guests may visit with Joe's family on Saturday from 12:00 PM until the start of the service at 2:00 PM at the funeral home in New Madison. 

Memorial contributions may be given to Cancer Association of Darke County.
