Josephine Ann Preston

Josephine Preston, age 82 of Greenville, passed away on Saturday, June 8, 2024 at Everheart Hospice in Greenville.

She was born on January 4, 1942 in Union City, Ohio to the late William Redmond and Viola Maloy.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Jack Preston; two sons, Doug and Tony Shaneyfelt; great granddaughter, Lyla Brown; and daughter in law, Hope Shaneyfelt.

Those left to cherish her memory include her son, Dennis Shaneyfelt; grandchildren, Joey (Marie) Shaneyfelt, Chris (Katie) Shaneyfelt, Megan Shaneyfelt, Sabrina Shaneyfelt; great grandchildren, Kirsten, Mackenzie, Jordan, Aydreyn, Carson, Neaveh, Rilee, Mattie, Kloee, and Brooke; and her cat she loved more than anything, Sky.

Josephine loved to play bingo, go to the ocean, and gamble. She was a very strong woman and kindhearted. She did not know a stranger and embraced everybody she met; she touched many lives. More than anything, she loved her family and being a mom, grandma, and great grandma.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, June 14, 2024 at Fountain Park Cemetery, 700 S Main St, Winchester, IN 47394 with Pastor Robert Moorman officiating.
