Joyce Elaine Baker

Joyce Elaine Baker, 79, of Arcanum, Ohio, passed away on Tuesday, May 10, 2022, at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton, Ohio.

She was born on November 28, 1942, in Greenville, Ohio, to the late Dale and Esther (Horine) Troutwine.

In addition to her parents, Joyce was preceded in death by her brother, Phillip Troutwine.
Joyce was the most giving, caring, and loving person you could have ever met. She enjoyed being outside and loved the scent of lilacs in the spring. Her entire life revolved around her family being available for her children and grandchildren. She would go out of her way for her grandkids, making sure they had what they needed, what they wanted, and what they liked. Everyone who knew Joyce, loved her. She volunteered, donated blood, and was always putting others before herself.

Joyce is survived by her husband of 53 years, Carl R. Baker, whom she married on December 14, 1968; her children, Greg (Nicole) Baker of Tipp City, Ohio, Jeff (Melissa Smith) Baker of Troy, Ohio, and Pam (Dick) Holsapple of New Madison, Ohio; her grandchildren, Shania, Wyatt and Morgan Baker, Alana and Dylan Holsapple, Jake and Caleb Jones, Alex Brewer, and Kelsey Major.

A celebration of Joyce's life will be held at 5:00 PM on Saturday, May 14, 2022, at Tribute Funeral Homes, Greenville Campus, with Pastor Doug Baker officiating.

Her family will be receiving guests on Saturday, from 3:00 PM until the time of the service at 5:00 PM.
