Julia L. Widener

Mrs. Julia L. Widener, 62, of New Weston, Ohio, passed away, Tuesday, January 5, 2016 at State of the Heart Hospice Care Center.

She was born on April 6, 1953, of Piqua, Ohio, a daughter of the late Martha M. (Fine) Hawes. In addition to her mother she was preceded in death by her brother, Clinton W. Hawes and sister, Martha S. Hawes.

Julia was a homemaker and enjoyed playing games with the kids. Love to listen to religious music and watch soap operas.

She is survived by her husband, John Widener of New Weston; children, Eric (Kelly) Widener of New Weston, John William (Missy) Widener, II of Ansonia, Rodney L. Widener of Union City, OH, April R. (Shawn) Dickey of Osgood, Marlyn Widener of Vandalia; 7 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; sisters, Edie (Fine) Swaney of Covington, Becky (Wilson) Nutter of Piqua, Patty Davis of Covington; brother Jr. E. (Tonya) Hawes.

A celebration of life will be held at 11 AM, Monday January 11, 2016 at Oliver-Floyd Funeral Home on Greenville, Ohio with Pastor Hershel Fee officiating. Burial will follow in Greenville Township Memorial Gardens.

Family and friends may visit Monday, at the funeral home from 10 AM till the time of service.
