Karen Sue Free

Karen Sue Free, age 70, of Union City, Ohio passed away on Friday, January 31, 2025 at Upper Valley Medical Center in Troy, Ohio.

She was born on October 5, 1954 in Dayton, Ohio to the late Charles and Anne Macy. Karen grew up and lived the majority of her life in Englewood, Ohio. 

In addition to her parents, Karen is preceded in death by her brother, Steven Macy and sister, Janet Hile.

Those left to cherish Karen's memory include her daughter, Amber (Chad) Baltes; son, Benjamin (Erika) Free; and grandchildren, Connor, Riley, Bella, Eisley, Annabelle, Elrey, and David. 

Karen graduated from Northmont High School. She worked for 15 years as a medical secretary at Miami Valley Hospital. Karen enjoyed art, coloring, music and search puzzles. More than anything, Karen loved her grandchildren and spending time with her family. 

A private gathering will be held by the family at a later date.
