Karen S. Yearsley

Karen S. Yearsley, 63, of Greenville, passed away Saturday afternoon, January 10, 2009 at Rest Haven Nursing Home in Greenville. She was born in Darke County, daughter of the late Richard E. Stump and Margaret "Kate " (Heiser) Stump-Sargent. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Walter N. Yearsley in 1994; and a sister, Shirley Stump. Karen had worked as a CNA for several area nursing homes and individuals. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and Eagles Auxiliary both in Greenville. She is survived by a sister, JoAnne (Leslie) Russell of Greenville; two brothers, Elven L (Connie) Stump of Celina and Larry (Linda) Stump of Anna; a special devoted friend, Ronald Helsel of Greenville; nieces and nephews, Vicky (Frank) Ahlering-Flory, Rick Russell, Kathy (Craig) Shank, Shannan (Fred) Marshall, Miles Stump, Danielle Stump, Chuck Stump, and Michelle Stump; and numerous great nieces, nephews and cousins. Services will be held Tuesday, January 13, at 1 p.m. at the Oliver-Floyd Funeral Home in Greenville with the Rev. Terry Haworth officiating. Graveside services will follow in the Dayton National Cemetery at 3 p.m. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday one hour prior to services.
