Mrs. Karlynn Leeper, 56, of Rossburg Ohio received an offer from God that she simply could not refuse. She unexpectedly passed on Sunday, January 10, 2016 in Oxford, Ohio. Karlynn was born on December 28, 1959 in Union City, Indiana, and was a daughter of Nevin and the late Shirley (White) Hiestand.
Karlynn's life was full and she was full of life. She could easily be described as the life of the party and knew no strangers. Every aspect of her life revolved around her family, as she was their rock. She invested her time showering all of the love she had on her eleven grandchildren. She was as selfless as they come and offered a listening ear to all with emotional, yet blunt, empathy. She was a creative visionary who paid close attention to detail and adored all things that sparkled and shined. She was a self-proclaimed event organizer, who herself, was as un-organized as they come. She had a knack for storytelling, a reputation for being late, and an infectious cackle. The capacity of Karlynn's heart was immeasurable.
Karlynn is survived by her husband of 37 years, Dennis Leeper, whom she married August 26, 1978; her children, Jodi (Henry) Reichert of New Weston, Ohio, Tracy (Greg) Wendel of Versailles, Ohio, Matt (Stephanie) Leeper of Troy, Ohio, and Kari (Lance) Bartram of Liberty, Indiana; grandchildren, Kierra, Ethan, and London Reichert, Annie and Libby Wendel, Grady and Calleigh Leeper, Hayden, Ayla, Lucy, and Camry Bartram; 4 brothers and sisters, Krisann (Ted) Riegel of New Carlisle, Ohio, Greg (Claudia) Hiestand, of Greenville, Ohio, Brad (Cindy) Hiestand of Rossburg, Ohio, and Karen (Jim) Eilerman of North Star, Ohio.
A Memorial Mass for Karlynn will be held on Friday, January 15, 2016 at 10:30 AM at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Greenville with Fr. John White officiating. Burial will follow in Greenville Township Memorial Gardens. There will be no visitation.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be given to Children's Hospital, 1 Children's Plaza, Dayton, Ohio 45404, Attn: Development Department.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Oliver-Floyd Funeral Home, Greenville, Ohio.
