Kathryn "Katie" Rebecca Longanecker

Kathryn "Katie" Longanecker, 52, of New Paris, passed away on October 29, 2017.

She was born April 23, 1965 in Dayton, the daughter June Hines of New Paris.

Katie loved her dogs,Gracie, Sable, Lucky and Baby Girl. She was a very hard worker and a truly devoted mother to her son, James. She had a strong love for horses, the ocean, and enjoyed just being outside. She had an adventurous soul, and was fiercely loyal to those she called "friend".

In addition to her mother June, Katie is survived by her son, James Longenecker of Dayton; her brother, Eric Longanecker of Continental; and her step brother, John Hines of New Paris.

Family and Friends may visit on Tuesday, November 7,2017 from 11-1 PM at Oliver Floyd Funeral Home in Greenville.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, November 7, 2017 at the funeral home in Greenville, Ohio with Rev. James Leonard officiating. Burial will follow in Ithaca Cemetery.
