Kenneth A. Landis

Kenneth Alan Landis, 74, of Union City, Ohio, passed away during the early hours of Saturday, August 5, 2023, at the Village Green Health Campus in Greenville, Ohio.

He was born on October 12, 1948, in Greenville, Ohio, to the late Chalmer Sr. and Hazel (Young) Landis

In addition to his parents, Kenneth was preceded in death by his wife, Christine “Chris” (Van De Pitte) Landis, whom he married on November 4, 1967, and who passed away on May 13, 2019; his brothers, William (Diane) Landis, Larry Floyd, and Richard Landis; and his sister, Jerry (Gary) Greer.

Kenneth is survived by his children, Chad (Michelle) Landis of Hillsboro, Illinois, and Nichole (Ismael) Anguiano of Union City, Ohio; his grandchildren, Allison and Annemarie Landis, Cameron, Alex and Drew Anguiano; his brother, Chalmer (Mary Lou) Landis, Jr. of Germantown, Tennessee; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Kenneth was a 1968 graduate of Greenville High School. He worked for Union City Body Company as a welder and then retired from Workhorse in 2013 after 45 years. Kenneth enjoyed traveling, going to the casino, playing cards and bingo, and taking care of his yard, which he took great pride in. He loved sitting outside on the porch and telling stories to anyone who would listen.

A celebration of Kenneth’s life will take place at 10:30 AM on Friday, August 11, 2023, at Tribute Funeral Homes, Burial will follow in Greenville Union Cemetery.

Guests may visit with Kenneth’s family on Thursday, August 10, 2023, from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at the funeral home.
