Kirt Benjamin Chronister

Kirt B. Chronister of Tipp City, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, June 13, 2021, at the age of 50.

He was born in York, Pennsylvania, to Jim and Karen (Miller) Chronister.

In addition to his parents, Kirt is survived by his wife of 24 years, Angie (McCabe) Chronister; his two children, Ben and Maddie Chronister; and his sister, Shannon (Anthony) Collins.

Kirt was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Davey and Ruth Chronister, and his maternal grandparents, Benjamin and Doris Miller.

Kirt's love for sports started young, while playing soccer in Pennsylvania. When his family moved to Ohio, he was initially disappointed, because soccer wasn't popular. That only lasted until he discovered golf, and boy was he hooked. You could almost always find him at Beechwood Golf Course. And while he was there, he met the love of his life, Angie, who thankfully also loved golf. When he wasn't playing, he caddied for a close friend in national tournaments. He also loved teaching others how to improve their game, through drills he designed himself. Later in life, he enjoyed competitive silhouette shooting and riding his mountain bike. And while he loved his hobbies, his true devotion was to his family. He loved his wife and children more than anything. He supported his children in pursuing their own unique passions, whether e-sports for Ben or soccer for Maddie. He loved playing board games and cards, especially euchre, contract rummy and watching movies as a family. And he threw in a few dad jokes along the way.

A celebration of Kirt's life will take place at 11:00 AM on Monday, June 21, 2021, at Ginghamsburg Church, 6759 S. County Road 25A, Tipp City, Ohio, with Pastor Gary Cloyd officiating.

Guests may visit with Kirt's family on Monday, at the church, from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM. There will be a time to share memories during the service. If you would prefer to send in a memory to be read by someone else, please email it to staff@tributefuneralhomes.com.
