Lester "Gene" E. Campbell, 62, of Greenville, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 24, 2024, at EverHeart Hospice Care Center in Greenville.
He was born on August 5, 1961, in Dayton, Ohio, to the late Harley Glenn Campbell I and Wynell (Jackson) Campbell.
In addition to his parents, Gene was preceded in death by his son, Keith Campbell.
Gene was a 1980 graduate of Franklin Monroe High School and CTC. He was a welder by trade and worked for Henny Penny and Rebsco. Gene loved drawing and going fishing. Early in life, he was an avid concert goer and music fan, attending over 150 concerts.
Gene is survived by his wife, Trenda (Francis) Campbell; his children, Heather (Jason) Lawson of Laura and Harley Campbell of Greenville; his stepchildren, Kendra Mangen of Ansonia and Matthew (Rachel) Shoffstall, Jr. of Greenville; his siblings, Harley (Tracy) Campbell II of New Lebanon and Callie (Kurt) Kessler of Columbus; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at 12:30 PM on Tuesday, July 2, 2024, at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Trotwood, with Pastor David Turner officiating.
